Hardened Hope - Autographed Copy

I’m Corey Roland, one of the hottest lead singers rock and roll has ever seen.  I haven't always been though, I was once a mild mannered college grad with a “big boy job”. My buddies and I had always dreamed of being rock stars. With a lot of practice and a perfectly placed demo, we formed Hardened Hope and, well, the rest has been rock and roll history.

In a matter of seconds, a massive wreck on an interstate at the end of our third world tour put the whole future of our band into question. Things may never be the same.

When I walked into that emergency room, hundreds of miles away from home, I didn't even know if my bandmates were alive.  I never expected to see the eyes of an angel, an angel who had seen way too many battles herself.  

For some reason, she is terrified of me. And for some reason, I just know that she and her fear mean everything.

My name is Hanna Perkins, and my job as registration clerk in a busy trauma ER is not for the faint of heart.  While my job is fast paced, nothing could have prepared me for the night I got a tour bus full of critically injured rock stars, or the fact that their front man, Corey Roland, escaped the wreck and walked in, demanding to see his bandmates.  

One look into those eyes, and I knew that I was a goner. And that really scares me.

You see, musicians can’t be trusted.  My dad is one, and he abandoned me and my mom 20 years ago.  Because of him, I lost everything…including my mom.

Can I find the courage to give Corey the trust he is asking for? Will I be able to let him help me understand what tore my family apart? And when my dad suddenly pops back into my life, will I be able to honor my mom’s final wishes and let go of the bitterness, and maybe even entertain forgiveness?
